Donald Cooper sings first tenor with the Mandskor. He sang intermittently before becoming a regular member, at the urging of his wife Terry Walter, who conducts the chorus. Don’s early years were spent at Doland, SD (Hubert Humphrey’s home town). He holds a degree in economics from South Dakota State University. He served for 2 years in the Peace Corps, training in Hawaii and working in India, in the 1960’s. Don has worked for the phone company, in the car business, in insurance sales, and finally with Terry in their property management business “Mi-Star Enterprises”. He enjoys reading, fishing, cooking, collecting vintage cars and singing.
As a footnote, we add that the Mandskor actually performed at Terry and Don’s wedding reception in 1990.
