In the fall of 2012 the Mandskor welcomed Marlan Velgersdyk to their bass section.  Marlan and his wife Carol  are Iowa folks.  They have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  He has worked in sales, and has retired to part time with Fireplace Pros.  Carol has a degree in nursing from USD. She worked at Avera McKennan for over 20 years (ten of those in the oncology and transplant unit) and continues part time with their hospice care.
