Rex Livermore

Rex Livermore has sung with the Minnehaha Mandskor for 40 years, having been invited by the late Bill Klein. At one time, when the Mandskor's membership had dropped to 8, Rex was alone on the 2nd tenor part. Good fortune has brought the numbers back to 20, so he is now in the good company of 4 others.

A native of Canby, MN, Rex graduated from high school there. He is retired from working in the plumbing and heating industry. His wife Jerry is a member of the auxiliary and works as secretary of the Watkins Association. Rex has 5 children (first wife deceased) and Jerry has 4, making for large family gatherings.

In terms of hobbies, Rex lists fishing, hunting, woodcarving, and golf. Both Rex and Jerry sing in their church choir. Their lake home near Underwood, MN, draws the Livermore's north for the summer. They return to Sioux Falls in the winter.

Although Rex isn't Norwegian, he must be following some Scandinavian pattern to be drawn to the cold weather rather than the warm. The Mandskor releases him in the summer (we are off anyway) and happily reels him in when fall returns.
